The Scope - The book about London's lost leviathan telescope.Much has been learned about this rather ellusive instrument through hard work and a great deal of dedication and luck.

If you have any information which might help fill in some of the gaps in our understanding, no matter how trivial it may seem, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can find out what it is we are still in need of reseaching or finding - just click here>>

Visiting the site

Although today there is virtually nothing that can be seen of the telescope at the site in Wandsworth except for a very slight circular depression in the ground partially hidden by ground cover, it may be that simply visiting the area would give visitors a sense of what it was like at that time. If so then please click here>>.
